Guide to Creating Professional QR Codes
Best Practices for Custom Colors
When customizing your QR code colors, contrast is key. Always ensure there is a high contrast between the foreground (dots) and the background. Dark dots on a light background work best. Avoid using inverted colors (light dots on dark background) as some older scanners cannot read them.
Logo Size & Placement
Adding a logo strengthens brand recognition, but it must be done carefully. Keep your logo size under 20% of the total QR area. HarmanQR automatically handles this, but if you upload a very complex logo, make sure to test scan it. Always use 'High' error correction when adding a logo.
Printing Tips
For printed materials, always use vector formats like SVG. This ensures your QR code remains crisp at any size. For small prints like business cards, the QR code should be at least 2cm x 2cm (0.8 inches). For large formats like billboards, scale up accordingly.
